Draft for legal review before publication.
1. Who we are
This privacy policy applies between you, the user of this website, and ANYSINFO LTD (“ANYSINFO”, “we”, “us”), a company incorporated in England and Wales with company number 07375318 and registered office at 3rd Floor Suite, 207 Regent Street, London W1B 3HH. We are the “data controller” for personal data collected through this website, which means we decide why and how it is used. This policy should be read with our Terms of use and Cookies page.
It covers this website only. It does not cover personal data we process on behalf of clients under a services contract; that is governed by the contract and a data-processing agreement.
2. Data we collect
- Data you give us when you use the contact form or email or phone us: your name, email address, company, phone number (if provided), the topic you select and the content of your message.
- Data collected automatically: your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, and the date and time of your visit, recorded in server logs. We also use your IP address to limit repeated submissions and block automated abuse.
When you use the contact form, Cloudflare Turnstile also receives technical information from your browser (such as your IP address and browser characteristics) to decide whether you are a person; we receive only the pass or fail result. We do not use advertising, tracking or analytics cookies on this website. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
3. How and why we use it
- To respond to your enquiry and discuss our services. Legal basis: steps taken at your request before a contract, and our legitimate interest in answering business enquiries.
- To keep the website secure and working, and to prevent spam and abuse. Legal basis: our legitimate interests.
- To keep records, and to meet legal and accounting obligations. Legal basis: legal obligation and legitimate interests.
We will not send you marketing emails unless you have asked us to or have a continuing business relationship with us and can opt out at any time. If you object to our use of your data on the basis of legitimate interests, you have the right to do so (see section 8).
4. Who we share data with
We do not sell your data. We share it only as needed with:
- Service providers acting on our behalf: Microsoft (website hosting and the Azure Communication Services email service that delivers contact-form messages to us) Google (Google Workspace, where our business email is hosted), and Cloudflare (Turnstile, the security check on our contact form that tells people from automated bots).
- Our staff, contractors and professional advisers who need it, including colleagues in India who help respond to enquiries.
- Authorities where the law requires, or to detect crime or collect taxes or duties.
- A prospective buyer, or a successor, if all or part of our business is sold or transferred. Data relevant to that part would transfer with it, and we would take steps to protect your privacy.
5. International transfers
Some of our team, and some of our providers, are located outside the UK, including in India and the United States. Where personal data is transferred outside the UK, we use safeguards required by UK data protection law, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or an adequacy arrangement where one applies.
6. Keeping data secure
We use technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access limited to staff who need it, and secure hosting. If you suspect misuse, loss or unauthorised access to your data, please tell us straight away at info@anysinfo.com. For general advice on staying safe online, see Get Safe Online.
7. How long we keep data
Contact-form and email enquiries are kept for as long as needed to respond and to keep a reasonable record of the conversation, generally no longer than 24 months after our last contact, unless they lead to a contract or the law requires us to keep them longer. Server logs are kept for a short period for security purposes. Deleted data may persist for a time in backups.
8. Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you and receive a copy;
- have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected;
- ask us to erase your data;
- ask us to restrict how we use your data;
- receive your data in a portable format, where it applies;
- object to our use of your data, including where we rely on legitimate interests; and
- withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent.
To exercise a right or make an enquiry, email info@anysinfo.com. We will respond within one month and will not normally charge a fee. Please keep us informed if your details change. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first.
9. Links to other websites
This website may link to other websites. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. Please read their policies before using them.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version is always on this page, with the date it was last updated above.
11. Governing law
This policy is governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
